Privacy policy

This policy covers the LiftBrain apps for iOS and Android and the LiftBrain connector for Claude (liftbrain.online). In short: your data is kept to run the app and to let the coach you connect read it. We do not sell it, do not show ads and do not track you across other apps or sites.
What we keep
- Account: your email address and password. The password is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see it in plain text.
- Training: your program, workouts (exercises, weights, reps, sets done, times), coach notes and recommendations, and the athlete profile you or Claude write (goal, experience, equipment, injuries).
- Food: meals you log, their calories and macros, nutrition targets, and meal photos you take in the app. A photo is kept until Claude has read it or you delete it.
- Body weight you enter.
- Health data, only if you turn it on: from Apple Health or Health Connect, the app reads body weight, sleep, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, steps and active energy, as daily values, and writes your finished workouts back as strength training. You can turn this off in the app or in the phone's settings.
We do not collect your location, contacts, advertising identifiers or analytics about how you use the app.
Why
Only to provide the app: to keep your log in sync between your phone and the coach, and so Claude can plan your training from your results, food and recovery. Health data is never used for advertising or marketing and is never sold.
Who processes it
- Google Firebase (Authentication and Realtime Database, hosted in Belgium, europe-west1) stores your account and all the data above.
- Vercel runs the connector at liftbrain.online, which passes your data between Firebase and Claude while a request runs; it does not store it.
- Anthropic (Claude), only if you connect LiftBrain to your own Claude account. Claude then reads and writes your log when you ask it to, under your agreement with Anthropic. You can disconnect it at any time in Claude's settings.
Nothing is shared with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
Security
Data travels over HTTPS. The database lets each account read and write only its own data; the connector signs in as you and has no wider access.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
Your data is kept while you have an account. Deleting the account (in the app: Coach tab → Delete account, or on the account deletion page) erases all of it from the database at once, then the account itself. You can also delete single workouts, meals, photos and weights in the app.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, its correction or its deletion by writing to support@liftbrain.online. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Children
LiftBrain is not meant for children under 16, and we do not knowingly keep their data.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new date.
